SENNETT -- A motor vehicle accident resulted in damage to a parked truck and a Sennett home Monday afternoon after a pickup truck swerved off state Route 34.
According to the Cayuga County Sheriff's Office, a Chevrolet pickup was heading north on Route 34 near County House Road at approximately 3 p.m. when it traveled across the southbound lane and off the west side of the road. The truck continued for a short distance before colliding with a black Dodge pickup truck parked in front of a garage, according to officials. The force of the collision drove the Dodge pickup into the garage.
The driver was transported from the scene by ambulance, though officials said he was conscious. No one else was injured in the accident.
Sheriff's officials have not yet released the name of the driver.
