“We are still learning,” Lakers coach Mitch Major said of the difference between Friday night's game and Saturday's. “We have talent but when it comes to close games, we tend to have the same intensity but not the same composure.”
Their composure was constant throughout the game, though four of the five goals were awarded in the first period. Skaneateles held off Williamsville-South until the third period when they allowed Leo Shultz to break through on a pass from Brian Stachura.
Beck-Anderson was especially proud of their win.
“It was good to come back and win after yesterday, we put the puck in the net today, we dominated and played our systems,#” he said.
Major hopes that his team can learn from the win and that it will help them in facing their important league games that are coming up.
