‘Wedding' promises to be a raucous party for all

The family of Maria Angelina Cavatelli has cordially invited you to attend the wedding of their daughter and Guisseppe Antonio Gnocchi. There is no need to RSVP. All they ask is that you come ready to have a good time.

“Joey and Maria's Comedy Wedding,” will be thrown Friday at the Springside Inn in Fleming. The interactive dinner theater production has been pleasing Auburn audiences for five years. This year, attendees will also be supporting a local cause - the E. John Gavras Center, which offers numerous services to regional residents with special needs.

The show, which is a combination of scripted and improvisational performance, is run like an actual wedding and reception. Audience members are the “guests,” and the cast plays the wedding party, which includes Joey and Maria, friends, family, clergy and even a jealous ex-girlfriend.
