Down two games to nothing, the Weedsport volleyball team came back to capture the win, 3-0, over Cato-Meridian in a match Monday.

The Warriors won 18-25, 16-25, 25-15, 25-21 and 25-18.

Weedsport's Heidi Robinson finished with four aces, eight kills, 11 assists and six digs. Murphey Enos had four kills, one assist, and four digs, Chelsea Paquette had four aces, nine kills, one assist, one block, and three digs and Rebecca Relfe finished with six aces, three kills, two assists, and two digs.

Cato-Meridian had strong performances from Becca Myers (four aces, eight assists, two kills, three digs), Nicole Champion (three aces, eight kills, four digs), Ruth Kazulak (one ace, five kills, five blocks, four digs) and Vicki Davis (one ace, 12 assists, one kill, three digs).

“It was an outstanding game,” said Cato-Meridian coach Eric Vollmer. “Weedsport would not give up and both teams played their hearts out.”

Cato-Meridian hosts Onondaga Thursday.
