Sign-ups have begun for Masters
Applications for the men’s and women’s Citizen Masters are available at all area bowling centers and can be downloaded from auburnusbc.com.
The men’s tournament, which begins Friday, Jan. 4, costs $35 to enter. The women’s event starts Saturday, Jan. 12, with an entry fee of $30.

YMCA travel team taking registrations
The Auburn YMCA travel team now taking registrations. It is an eight-week wrestling program, that meets from 6:30 to 7:40 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays for interested parties in grades 3-6.
No experience is necessary and the cost is $40 per child, with a YMCA member discount available. There is a $100 family rate.
Practice begins the week of Jan. 7 and there will be no practice during February break.
Wrestling Fun Festival dates and locations are as follows:
Jan. 26, 8 a.m. to noon at Driver Middle School in Marcellus
Feb. 2, 8 a.m. to noon at Driver Middle School in Marcellus
Feb. 16, 8 a.m. to noon at West Genesee
March 1, 8 a.m. to noon at Driver Middle School in Marcellus
March 8, Year End Festival, TBD
Festivals are optional, participants may attend as many as they’d like.

Babe Ruth in need of board members
Auburn Babe Ruth baseball is looking for new board members.
The next meeting is at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 14 at the Knights of Columbus.

Homberg hosting baseball clinic
Auburn Doubledays manager Dennis Holmberg will be conducting his annual winter baseball clinic on Thursday, Jan. 31 and Saturday, Feb. 2 in the batting tunnel at Falcon Park.
The clinic is split into two sessions - from 5 to 7 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday and from 9 to 11 a.m. and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.
It is open to boys and girls ages 8 to 15.
Reservations are $55 and can be made by calling 255-2489.
Each session can hold up to 20 children.
Every participant will receive a voucher for a box seat ticket for a 2008 home game and a 2007 New York-Penn League Championship cap.
Pizza will be served following each session on Feb. 2.
Holmberg has taught this clinic for the past five years. He will be in Auburn as a guest for the Doubledays annual Hot Stove Dinner which will be held Saturday, Feb. 2.
Softball clinic begins next month
There will be a LeMoyne softball clinic on Jan. 13, Jan. 27 and Feb. 3 at LeMoyne’s Athletic and Recreation building.
The clinics will be divided into two sessions - pitching and hitting/defense.
The pitching session will be from 8:30 to 10 a.m. while the hitting and defense session will run from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
The cost of each session is $10 or $15 to attend both.
