Job consultant also planning wedding
Each Monday, The Citizen features someone from the Finger Lakes community.
This week, we spotlight Rhonda Billington of Adecco.
Q. What is the most rewarding part of your job?
A. Being able to help people find work.
Q. What is the most challenging aspect of your job?
A. Trying to find jobs for all of our associates.
Q. What would be your dream job, and in what part of the world would you be working?
A. I am already doing it. I get great satisfaction from helping others find good-paying, satisfying positions.
Q. What's the best way to relax after a tough day?
A. Having dinner, a glass of wine and watching a little TV with my fiance.
Q. What do you like most about living and/or working in the Finger Lakes region?
A. The beautiful lakes and all the activities they offer.
Q. If you had the choice of meeting any three people in the world who would they be, and why?
A. Patrick Swayze, because “Dirty Dancing” is my favorite movie. Bill Clinton, because he was a great president, even through adversity. And the Pope, so we could discuss our beliefs and faith in God.
Q. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
A. The same place I am now, except married to my best friend and fiance John and maybe a little further in my position at Adecco.
Q. If you were to win the lottery tomorrow, what's the first thing you'd do?
A. Take my children and future stepsons on a shopping spree.
Q. What would people who think they know you be most surprised to find out about you?
A. That I am actually a very shy person and that I like to spend a lot of time inside with a good book.
Q. If you were mayor or supervisor of your town/city, what's the first thing you'd change?
A. Find a way to fix all the roads in Auburn to get rid of all the bumps and pot holes.
Q. Do you have any special plans for the next few months?
A. Planning my wedding.
