The Cayuga County Chapter of the American Red Cross wants a few Real Heroes to recognize at the Real Heroes Luncheon to be held Tuesday, March 18, at the Holiday Inn in Auburn.

Individuals who have risen above the crowd and stepped up to offer first aid or CPR or used an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) at an accident site or other emergency situation are Real Heroes.

Nominations for a Real Hero 2008 may be submitted until Jan. 4, 2008.

Dan Cummings, a Cayuga County native and news anchor at Channel 9, will return as the master of ceremonies.

Heroes will receive a commemorative plaque.
