The registration deadline is Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008, for the second annual New York Rural Tourism Conference, to be held Jan. 17 and 18, 2008, at the Holiday Inn in Auburn. The conference theme is “Back Roads to Front Porches.”
The kick-off speaker will be “The Getaway Guy” Mike O’Brian, from Rochester’s RNews. Seminar topics will include: blogging for beginners, e-marketing and agri-tourism, guerilla marketing on a budget, culinary tourism, bringing bicyclists to your community, and using tourism statistics. There will also be ample time for conference attendees to network and socialize.
