The judges in small claims court should be ashamed when people lost judgments to the city, other people and me (13 years ago) and they still have not paid. Funny he can pay a mortgage, taxes, electric, heating, etc. but doesn't have an income and continues to rack up judgments.
I think everyone should join Mayor Lattimore in prayer at the city council meetings. I can't think of a better way to start the meetings.

With the way the storm is that we have been having, all this snow, I'd like to know what is wrong with the superintendents of Auburn, who are willing to take a chance on our kids being hurt. It's in their hands for them to make sure they get home safely.

The New York Yankees have more drug abusers than any New York state prison softball team.

As far as the baseball steroid investigation, the question is how can anybody believe anything that senile, ambulance-chasing, Clinton-apologizing attorney George Mitchell says.

Enough, enough, enough of the taxes already. Families are squeaking by tightening their belts, barely making it.

You people who accumulate and don't pay for your parking tickets are irresponsible, arrogant deadbeats! Grow up and pay up!

" "John Paul II, often spontaneous and sometimes outdoorsy, had little use for fancy papal attire. But Benedict has taken to wearing some eye-stopping outfits in his public appearances, including a red velvet cape trimmed with ermine, a fur-trimmed stocking cap that some first mistook for a Santa Claus hat, and bright red Prada loafers." This quote from another story in the paper is interesting. Using the narrow minded views of Mr. Morgan one can only conclude that the Pope is Gay! Praise Jesus! "

" You on the other hand Karl are a prime example of the pot calling the kettle black. If you want to see a bigot look in the mirror. You have painted every conservative with a broad brush. You insult, call names attack, and belittle everyone and anyone who does not agree with your point of view. You are a sad excuse for a man, and a worse advocate for your cause. LMAO, you do more to separate yourself from main stream America than I could ever hope of accomplishing. You make yourselves look exactly like you claim I am trying to make you look, ignorant! Have a great night Karl! "kiss kiss" By the way Karl it's not the "high" road as you call it, it is knowing right from wrong. A simple concept that seems to be beyond your grasp. "

" jrmorgansr, it's a pleasure to see you consistently redefine the narrow limitations of your scant intelligence, tolerance, and morality. Buddy, you make MY job EASY! LMFOA! You are the PERFECT caricature of a Conservative bigot, and a religious-fueled hate-mongerer! On a serious note, you didn't even read Harmony's post correctly. She wasn't asserting her belief the being gay is a choice. She was saying that it WOULDN'T MATTER even if it was! I find it HILARIOUS that you think YOU are "mainstream America"! What drugs are you on jer? Or SHOULD be on? And "sexual addictions" Did I miss something here? Jerry, only a person who OBVIOUSLY HAS HIS OWN PROBLEM with sexual addiction would ever frame the "gay" issue in those fish-eyed terms! Boy,--I LOVE to see what website YOU'VE been surfing! I bet we'd all be VERRRRRY SURPRISED!!!! LMFAOA!!! Wanna fess up now? "

" I had to laugh when I read your post Harmony and I LMFAO, You stated, it is his right to be GAY whether it be by his choice or what ever. I thought homosexuality was something beyond your control? I thought you didn't have a choice to chose your life style? I thought that it was something you were born with? Well I guess Karl must be mistaken then,,,lol. It is a choice, you chose your life style just like you chose your next car to drive. You people are a trip, you need to seek help for your sexual addiction. Just leave us mainstream Americans and our children alone. Flamboyant is the right word to describe Timothy, disgusting is the right word to describe his life style. Karl is included. Plus, use spell check will you? "

harmony62402 wrote on Dec 16, 2007 2:56 PM:

" jlmorgansr , I would just like to say that I resent your choice of words used to describe Mr. Timothy Reitz . I would not say he is "flamboyant" as much as he is ethusiastic and dedicated to his beliefs , as are you to yours . It is his right to be gay wether it be by his choice or whatever . He does not force his beliefs upon anyone , instead just asks to be accepted instead of discriminated against for his beliefs . This is no different than you expecting someone with religious beliefs different from your own to respect your beliefs and not force upon you their own or discriminate against you because of your beliefs. Maybe if you had the chance to meet and speak with Mr. Reitz you might realize he is a very intelligent person and maybe would reconsider your previous comments . Don't judge a book by it's cover , ther is much more to Mr. Reitz than meets the eye . "

I didnt chose this lifestyle so how did it come to be? Gay people have been around since the dawn of mankind, so if we truly are made in the image of God then how can the ignorant Bible thumping masses use religion and God as a weapon against Gay people? Makes no sense, although discrimination in any form has never made sense! "

David S wrote on Dec 16, 2007 2:07 PM:

" It really bothers me to read "Choose to be gay". I am a gay man, and I for one can tell you I did NOT choose to be gay any more than I chose to be male! Who would choose to be discriminated against? Who would choose to be hated by the mass majority of ignorant fools that populate this country? Who would choose to feel like a second rate citizen? Who would choose to be the victim of gay bashing, being beaten to death because of the way you are? This argument is like saying that the black population CHOSE to be black, and chose to be discriminated against, chose to be enslaved... you get the point. Its complete and utter nonsense. I cannot count the number of times I wished I was a straight man in this world, my life would be much easier that way. I could fake it like many do, but that is not fair to the woman/wife I would take just to hide the fact that Im gay. I dont do anything to hurt others, I pay taxes, I work 40+ hours a week, I have manners, I say please, thank you, hold the door for others, and help my fellow man out when I can. Why does this VERY small part of who I am cause me to be shunned and ridiculed? "

I haven't got TV or radio, and I haven't seen anything on the net about the roads being closed -- and they wouldn't need to be closed if anyone would PLOW them? What's going on? I called the Ledyard highway department and get no answer, and it is not after 1PM and there are still no plows on Sherwood Rd. This morning at 7:30 even 34B had not been plowed. Usually those guys are out there making all the overtime they can on a Sunday, but today, it's like they were all sucked up by aliens -- not a plow to be found anywhere. Anyone in the know? "

Now here where all of you people say or some, drive your kids to school. Wish life was so easy as some of you as some of you people who sit home and watch soap operas all day and can drive and pick them up,grandma watches them in morning The schools dont take in consideration that there are very young children who either need to walk on the side of the road or track threw deep snow which is dangerous Is it more practical to delay elementary students at least , say 2 hours ??????really whos the one with the brains in this operation. He has a supporter in his anti God position as well with the publication of a letter to the editor from Tim Rietz, a flamboyant, gay rights activist. Its funny hoe proponents of a degenerate life style seems to band together against anything which could be considered moral. Instead they would love to push an immoral godless way of life as the "next norm." Mr Reitz and Mr "L" need to realize that no matter how vocal they are about their "rights" the way of life they have chosen will never be accepted as "normal" by main stream America. "Thank God" "

" There's more to it than just canceling school for everyone. Many students in the Auburn district are subsidized for a morning breakfast, and many times if they aren't in school that's the only meal they get during the day (Hard to comprehend but it happens). On top of that, wind chills need to hit -20F gusts or there about for the school to cancel for risk to students (as many need to walk to school). Since when is it subjugated to the superintendents to take over for parents by the way to assure that students get home safely unless they are on a bus? The busing service isn't even owned by the Auburn School District, it's an outside company who's responsible for busing. Try and think outside of the box for a bit, and maybe having latchkey kids isn't the best answer for our kids in Auburn. Our parents want others to take over their parenting, but scream bloody murder when something happens in relation to the school districts. I'd like to know who is responsible for road maintenance in Auburn. During this "storm" the road outside of Auburn were plowed and passable, however the moment you crossed the Auburn city line along 34, you hit enough snow and slush to hit the underside of your car! It's been like this for years, and the yahoo's running the highway departments for the city must be getting a good chuckle out of this. Let's collect the time and a half, but not send our drivers out to keep up with the snow on the main roads. (I understand side roads are plowed by independents plow operators for the city? Correct me if I am wrong). I do NOT agree to opening up any type of government meeting with prayer. Keep the separation of church and state separate. If Lattimore wishes to attend church, do so. Don't bring church into your politics and vice versa. We have enough of that crap going on on a national level now as it is. (Before you jump all over me I attend church regularly). If you don't like the taxes, don't vote the people in that raise them. You sew what you reap. "

" I'd prefer a sumbel to the sacrifice of a ewe or any other living creature. A sumbel is a shared drink of mead, passed from person to person. When you get the cup, you must first tell a story, a joke or make a toast, then you drink and pass the cup. It's an Odinist practice, and very good for bringing a group together in a positive way. (Of course, in modern times, you take the risk of passing disease, and might better just be served into your own cup from the communal mea). I highly recommended the mead from Montezuma Winery -- some of the best I have ever had, produced right here in our region). "
