After reading Judy Ducayne's column in Tuesday's Citizen, I found myself in the unusual position of completely agreeing with her. She believes, as I do, that when someone's opinion appears in print, their name should be attached.
Whether these missives appear as Letters to the Editor or under another heading, the mere fact that they are anonymous does not allow the reader to judge the qualifications of the author.
I understand that this kind of “journalism” is certainly inexpensive, but it allows these, as Ms. Ducayne calls them, cyber-stalkers to spread rumors, accuse, and attack people's character without any accountability for their words.
