Reece admits staying organized a big challenge
Each Friday, The Citizen features someone in education from the Finger Lakes community in The Banks: This week, we spotlight Angela Reece, eighth-grade student.

Q. What is the most challenging aspect of being a student?

A. Staying organized. I will have my books and lockers all neat and then a week later it is a total mess.

Q. What was your most embarrassing moment in school?

A. When I was playing field hockey and I tripped on the ball and fell flat on my face.

Q. What is the part of your day you could do without?

A. English class because it is my least favorite.

Q. What's the best food item served in your cafeteria?

A. The personal pan pizzas.

Q. If you had to grade your own performance as a student, what letter grade would you give yourself? Why?

A. A+. I am president of the Student Government and grading myself is one of the things I have to do.

Q. What do you do to try to get on a teacher's good side?

A. I pay attention in class and get good grades. I try to get on the teachers' good side. Also, I am very weird and funny and so my teachers see that and we get along very well.

Q. School year: Too short, too long or just right? Why?

A. Just right because the teachers and children get a break from it all once in a while.

Q. When you finish school, what would you like to do?

A. I would like to be a doctor.

Q. Fill in the blank. I have the toughest time in my _______ class. Why?

A. Math, because it takes me longer to understand what we are doing in math more than in any other class.

Q. Fill in the blank. The best teacher I ever had was _______ because _________.

A. My seventh-grade math teacher, Mr. Tkachuk. He is really funny and just a great teacher.

Q. What are you most looking forward to this school year?

A. The eighth-grade dinner dance because I have always wanted to go to a formal dance.
