EPIC offers free parenting classes
A free workshop series for Parenting Infants and Toddlers will start at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, at Casey Park Elementary School library. The workshops will continue on Jan. 7, 14, 28, Feb. 4, 11 and 25. The series is sponsored by Every Person Influences Children.

Senior class offers tour of Bethlehem
The Senior Class of Union Springs Academy is coordinating the “Walk Through Bethlehem” this year. The walk will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, at 40 Spring St., Union Springs.
Participants can take a guided tour while searching for baby Jesus through the hills and streets of Bethlehem. Dress warmly for the walk, which will take visitors to prophets and kings - and even the notorious King Herod. Hear the gossip at the drinking well and visit the marketplace to try authentic Middle Eastern foods.
This event is free and open to the public, and refreshments are included.
Coupon book aids Freedom Services
Freedom Recreational Services for Youth with Disabilities will offer Enjoy The City Books for sale again this year. The book contains hundreds of valuable coupons to area restaurants, fast food locations and other services. Many are buy one, get one free.
Books are available at the Boy Scout office, 7235 Mutton Hill Road; UPS Store, 144 Genesee St.; Auburn Document Center, 74 Genesee St., and the Freedom Recreational Services offices at 188 Genesee St., Auburn.

The Miss Finger Lakes Scholarship Pageant is Feb. 23, 2008 in Corning. The pageant is open to unmarried females between the age of 17 and 24. Contestants must reside, attend school or work in central New York.
The pageant is a preliminary for Miss America, and the winner will advance to the Miss New York Pageant to be held in June. Scholarships will be awarded to the winner and runner-ups.
