Following up on my letter of Nov. 7, 2007, I finally received my STAR rebate check on Dec. 5, exactly three months after I applied online.
I am firmly convinced that without the help of Lonny in Assemblyman Oaks' office my check would still be floating in the great limbo of the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance. Her intervention was greatly appreciated.

Mr. Oak's provides excellent constituent service.
