Credit union starts Mitten Challenge

AmeriCU Credit Union has launched the Mitten Challenge to benefit The Salvation Army.

This program helps more than 2,000 local families to stay warm this winter with necessary accessories such as mittens, gloves and scarves.

Items may be dropped off at the Auburn branch, located in the Auburn Plaza, 217 Grant Ave., Suite 16.

The campaign lasts until Dec. 16, then the Salvation Army will pick up the donated items.
