Lakers no longer the underdog
After several seasons as the underdog, no one is taking the Skaneateles girls basketball team for granted this season.
The Lakers finished the 2006-2007 season at 15-8 and earned a trip to the Section III, Class B-2 championship game. Skaneateles lost to Clinton, but return eight players for another run.
“All those other years I said we were young and learning,” said Laker coach Bob Braunitzer. “Now we#'re still learning, but we're not young anymore.”
