Anthony Moran thanked Mason and Grant Air Handling, as well as Tim Sullivan of Chimney Works for getting his building back in working shape.
The Auburn Fire Department evacuated his Genesee Street building at 10 a.m. Friday after discovering high levels of carbon monoxide.
Workers were allowed back before noon, and the heat was fixed by 4 p.m. the same afternoon, thanks to the quick work of both the AFD and the Auburn company.
Another business, who Moran declined to name, had serviced the furnace last week.
However, Sullivan drove by and saw the fire trucks so he called Mason and Grant which helped service the building. A furnace malfunction caused the potentially fatal concentrations of carbon monoxide into the basement.
The workers heard the carbon monoxide detector alarm and went to the hospital, Moran said. They were all released the same day.
New York law states residential and businesses have to have a carbon monoxide detector.
