My wife and I took a tour around the area of the proposed pig farm in Montezuma, hoping to see what all the stink is about. After seeing the area, we believe a pig farm would be a big improvement.
Normal people, the 99 percent straight people in the U.S., are incensed that more attention is paid by the liberal media to AIDS Day than it is to Pearl Harbor Day or VJ Day.
How convenient for Ray Lockwood and his gang to get Roger Mills in there: The yes man, the yes man, the yes man.
Americans are disgusted with the Clintons because of their big hostage situation in New Hampshire, just to make Hillary another victim.
The American Congress is treating the American people and armed forces in the most divisive way in history. They are a true disgrace to our founding fathers.
When a person does not use or wear their safety belts, that is their problem. But when they are dialing on the phone or using the phone, it becomes my problem and everybody else's problem.
I would like to know how Congress can pass laws preventing children from saying a prayer or having a priest or minister saying a “God bless you” all when at the same time they can use taxpayers dollars to hire a priest or minister to say how great and “God bless” when one of them has died? God help America.
Never mind speeders on Grant Avenue, try driving on North Street between Seymour Street and the city limits. The speed limit must have changed to 45 mph and the no right on red sign at Standart Avenue must be written in a different language because no one understands it.
Leave it to the scientific illiterate right-wingers to cite the wrong planet in an attempt to bolster their obtuse argument against global warming. Sorry, Mars isn't the correct choice, but keep guessing: there are six other planets to choose from.
Whoever flew the flags from the top of the pines on Orchard Street, we love it, but, can the American flag be replaced? There is not much of it left.
Just would like to remind fellow readers to watch for their STAR rebates in the mail and not to forget about them. I have just become aware that ours was stolen out of our mailbox and cashed by our neighbor.
At this time of year I always have fond memories of Auburn in the late '40s and early '50s when downtown Auburn was such a bustling happy place and Genesee street was filled with Christmas shoppers. Let's hope that the new administration in Auburn will bring some real progress.
Every single person can make this a better world to live in. If you seriously want to help, just stop being so depressing.

We have departments run by incompetent people. What the mayor needs to do is meet with the city manager with the department heads twice a week, like Giuliani does, and see that any problem in any department is resolved within the next two meetings.
The biggest reason there are so many burglaries and violent crimes in Auburn is because of the liberal Democrat judges that give every Democrat criminal a slap on the wrist for whatever they do. It's too bad we don't have judges like in the past, like Peter Corning, Andy Fusco or John Naskowicz, that punished criminals and worked for the taxpayers, not for the Democrat Party.
Jeez, us smokers can't even smoke outside anymore. Maybe we should all go back inside to smoke.
I read The Citizen on Sunday, Nov. 25 about the rich people in the Two Cents column. All of us know someone who needs extra help around the holidays so why doesn't everyone try to help their neighbor so we can all enjoy the real reason for Christmas, the caring and love Christ brought to us.
Ten percent of tax-paying Americans pay 90 percent of the taxes, so maybe you should lobby for a flat tax so everybody pays their fair share on all earned and, of course, free money.
To all the complainers about the speeders on Grant Avenue and the Arterial, here's a question: Ever follow a cop on Grant Avenue and the Arterial? They're going just as fast - 40 to 45.
