Santa to take
pictures with pets
Pets can get their photos taken with Santa from noon to 3 p.m. today, at Dickman Farms Greenhouses & Garden Center, 13 Archie St., Auburn. Photos in a framed card cost $10 each with additional photos available at reduced price.
All dogs must be on a lease no more than 6-feet long and be current on rabies vaccinations.

ARC to host Lights for Loved Ones
Seneca Cayuga ARC will hold its annual Lights for Loved Ones from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, in the Seneca Falls Recreation Center in Seneca Falls.
Lights for Loved Ones is a celebration of people. All are invited to purchase a “light” for someone who has touched their life in a special way: a deceased family member, an important friend, or anyone they would like to honor.
For a small donation ($2 per name), they will be able to “put a light” on the Christmas tree, which will be set up in the center.
The evening will also include a performance by the Mynderse Academy Chamber Singers and the Waterloo High School Women's Chorale and a reception with free coffee/hot chocolate and cookies.
All proceeds will benefit the Seneca Cayuga ARC Children and Adult Recreation programs.

Union Springs to light tree Dec. 8
The Union Springs Village Tree Lighting will take place at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at St. Michael's Church, corner of Cayuga and Seminary streets.
The annual children's Christmas party, with a visit from Santa and refreshments, will immediately follow at the Frontenac Museum, 178 Cayuga St. Christmas music will be provided by the Union Springs Community Band.
This event is free and open to all. It is sponsored by the Union Springs Lions Club, Walt Conley Post American Legion and Women's Auxiliary, the Village of Union Springs, Union Springs Fire Department, Frontenac Museum, Montezuma Nice 'n Easy Grocery Shoppe and the Union Springs Community Band.

decorating talents
If you're considering decorating for the holiday season, The Citizen invites residents of Cayuga County, Skaneateles, Jordan, Elbridge and Seneca Falls to send in photos of their lit up houses.
Houses will be displayed online at auburnpub.com and will be judged by The Citizen staff. The top three will win gas cards - $100, $50 and $25 - and the overall winner will be featured in a future Lake Life story.
Interested decorators can send their best photo and a short explanation of why you should be chosen to CitizenHolidayContest@gmail.com or mail them in to The Citizen, Holiday Contest, 25 Dill St., Auburn, NY 13021.
Entries must be received by midnight Sunday, Dec. 9. Please also include your full name, address and contact information.
