Auburn, let's get smart and re-activate the interest we had for the former Schine Theater. Let's use common sense and have a first floor display of William Seward on one side in the foyer and another display of Harriet Tubman on the other and on the second floor foyer place another display of Ted Case's Sound on Film.
Al Gore and Queen Hillary keep promoting nonsense, that people in capitalism are responsible for global warming. But the planet Mars is going through the exact same thing and the last I looked, there were no people or factories on Mars.

It's really sad that taxpayers' friends - doers like Michele Sedor and David Pappert - get disgusted with government locally, and parasites like big spender Tom McNabb just hang on forever, milking the system.

The old Kalet building should be converted into a rehab center for those crazy tractor trailer drivers that speed up and down South Street day and night.

While attending a meeting at the Legislature, a legislator came up to me and said, “Are you here to make trouble. Sit down. We've got all the answers.”

I'd like to comment on the Christmas decorations downtown. The tree is very beautiful and all the other decorations, thanks to the city workers who worked on them.

To the person who drives an F150 pickup truck with an American Eagle decal on the back window: the speed limit on the Arterial is 30 mph. You had to be going at least 45 mph -- slow down before you hurt someone.

I see the county crooks repealed the gas tax cap, that figures, more people buy gas then pay taxes. When are people going to realize they can't keep reelecting those crooks.

Are the firemen at Auburn's Clark Street station too lazy or too busy counting their overtime money to change the sign in front of the building? After all, fire prevention week was almost two months ago.

If the people here in Auburn would let some low income people purchase old homes and business buildings, maybe we could get our downtown back, did you ever think of that? For the people that do own some of these empty buildings downtown in Auburn, don't charge so much rent.

Thank you to all who are contributing in the making of knitted and crocheted items such as hats, mittens, scarfs, lap blankets, etc. for our winter items that are and will be needed by all of our children, seniors, veterans, and others that would go without this winter. At least they will all keep warm.

Hate to break it to you, but must be you have never heard of Ford, Chevrolet, Daimler-Chrysler or GM, and you don't know what an Envoy, Explorer, Jeep Cherokee, Trail Blazer, etc. are. In the hopes of furthering your education, GM recently had contract negotiations which included the benefits of their retirees who worked in plants here in the U.S. and further more, my SUV does have American parts on it because they come from the factory via a parts store on Grant Avenue.

Maybe schools need to teach the manners and social skills that some parents fail to instill in their children. It is nothing short of amazing how some people will cut right into a line in a store and cut off another customer who is being served, as if that person did not even exist.

The involuntary acts of breathing air and blinking our eyes are going to be the only two things for the next four years that Gilda Brower and Mike Quill are going to do unless they have the permission of Tom McNabb and Chuck Mason.

" Hate to break it to you SUV owner, but you could'nt teach me anything when it comes to vehicles. Ive been an ASE certified tech for 25 years, and your so called "American" cars and parts are nothing more than foreign made imported by American companies and they slap thier sticker on it. You are deluded if you think your vehicle is 100% made in America because it is NOT and will never be.... "

" The reason there is so much business in downtown Cortland comapared to Auburn has nothing to to with parking meteres. It is that its right next to SUNY Cortland. Most college towns have vibrant downtowns. "

" I'd rather have school bus drivers concentrating on DRIVING. When there are behavior problems on the buses, and I know there are, there should be some other responsible adult there to keep an eye on things. Yes, I know that costs money, but terrible things happen to children on school buses every day -- things that would take far more attention to deal with than a driver who should first and foremost be paying attention to traffic and road conditions. It's just at most of us never hear about these incidents. "

" i agree with your comment of kids with no manners but is it the teachers responsibility? what abouut the incident on a school bus returning from a basketball game and urinated in a cup on the bus and tried to make other kids drink it, oh you didnt hear about it, well welcome to the nys school systeym of closed mouth administrators with a smile on there face saying , yes we are a wonderful school, my question concerning responsibility, hey coach, chaperones, why do you all sit up front? is it because u feel you are being honest when you say well we didnt see it? lets see what school administrator, board or coach admits to this incident, i hear the student got suspended, wow maybe a coach or coaches and maybe bus driver be sispended? isnt it there responsibilty to know what is going on on there bus? or are you too busy trying to be wannabe sports champs?for you parents that had children asked to drink this, i would be at the next board meeting yelling, loud, is this sportsmanship? or does behavior fall under sportsmanship? o wait maybe we can pay the coaches another 1`500 dollars to teach little boys to pee in the bathroom and not in a cup "

" Hopefully the individual making the comment comparing Earth and Mars is not a science teacher. If so, our kids are in trouble. Does this person believe that the Sun goes revolves around the Earth too? "

" The folks who need the break are the middle-class taxpayers who foot the burden for those who won't work while the rich are laughing all the way to the bank. And please don't jump on me about the working poor, because I don't have a problem with anyone who works for a living. "
