Two Cents

To the kayak park advocates: go to the end of Owasco Lake when the south wind is blowing around 30 mph, and put your kayak in the outlet, also known as the Owasco River, and paddle downstream to the boat launch.
When Chuck Mason, Bob Hunter or Tom McNabb think about Levi Strauss, they're talking about their clothes. When Tim Lattimore, Matt Smith or Bill Graney think about Levi Strauss, they are thinking about the accomplishments of the great anthropologist.

Chuck Mason and Murray Lynch are happy Democrats.

It's pathetic that we are in a world war with these Muslim terrorists and downtown BID - because leftist Daniel Schuster insists that we call it a holiday parade and a holiday tree, instead of the way most pro-American groups call it, Christmas tree and Christmas parade.

Thank you “Two Cents” - this is a valuable tool to get your point across; and a way to vent and maybe get something done. I know people read this and think the same.

In comparing dumping allowances, we don't pay property taxes to NYSEG. Another stupid statement by a non-qualified management person, who shouldn't be in the job and therefore will continue to contribute very little.

" atlopinon. this is about freedom FROM religion as much as it is about freedom FOR religion. I have a difficult time comprehending how people fail to see this. "

" Just so you know brew. Our country the one that you live in excluding the color of the sky in your world was founded because of religous persecution and the ten commandments laws and moral values are the very foundation for the society which crumbles with every tablet taken down. Do not believe in a God..that is free will. Deny the very moral consistency of the Ten Commandments that is just reprehensible. I know Dan Schuster well and he has firm beliefs in the raising of a town wavering on the edge of decline. I do not believe in calling Christmas a day that celebrates the birth of Christ, a holiday, just so you may get a day off and some presents and drink a little eggnog for good measure. You do not change the name of vetrans day even if you do not believe in war, A holiday is a celebration. What are you celebrating...OOPS there is that reason again called Christ. "

" I agree Brew, but I don't want these secularists to advance their agenda 1 inch. It's OUR traditions. If they win one, they go for two. In Des Moines right now, the public schools are having "cross-dressing" week. WE ARE THE PUBLIC. We are the overwhelming majority. They are a tiny, tiny minority who constantly are offended. They need to get over it. We need to hold our officials accountable for letting this crap go on. Time they WERE offended. "

" Well said brew. It's amazing how so many people get hung up on the symbols in religion. Yet many don't even understand what it is supposed to be all about in the first place "

" Does a holiday tree shake loose your faith in God? Does a holiday parade have an effect on your relationship with God? I don't care if the ten commandments are not displayed in the courthouse. If the judge is a believer it won't affect his decision. A coin or dollar bill without "In God We Trust" doesn't change my belief in my God. Why does it bother you? Continue to believe in God and don't worry about symbols posted to the world. Don't worry about what others believe just stay true to your faith. "

" Yeah Dan Schuster is a real treasure isnt he?? Next November cannot come fast enough to get this lost boy outta the Legislature! Speaking of the "lost" Wayne Allen strikes again! He is fighting with just about anyone who will pay any attention to him. C'mon Wayne, your obviously out of puberty why do you need to act like such a spoiled baby and pick fights with people. 90+K/yr and he counts parking spaces and candy wrappers in cars! Get rid of these two wastes of County money and time! Oh I heard Wayne wants to hire 3 more people to help him do his job too.... Must be too many parking spaces for one man to count alone! "

" Hey smart guy, the anthropologist Levi-Strauss was a hyphenated name. So if you want to impress us try and do your research and spell names correctly. In the meantime if you think Lattimore is really that intelligent then you must have been hypnotized by his horse teeth. "
