No one is looking forward to another GOP president

Wednesday, November 21, 2007 9:36 PM EST

What a joke the GOP is. More to the point, what a disaster they are. All the GOP candidates hoping to take Bush's place in office aren't going to be any better than him. By what they campaign on and what they have done in the past, it's going to be that same old, same old agenda.
Yes, tax cuts for the wealthy, stealing Social Security, taking care of Blackwater, Halliburton, the oil barons, etc. And oh yes, spending to the high heavens to carry on that godless war in Iraq and maybe even a new one they start in Iran.

And of course, just like Bush has done, all us commoners can expect to be completely ignored once again.

So unless all us plain folks are completely out of touch with reality, why in the name of God would we possibly want to elect these bunch of know nothing, do nothing good, wolves in sheep's clothing, back-patting Bush clones? And none of them will admit what anyone with one iota of common sense knows. And that is that the war in Iraq should never have come to pass, and by now should be ended. It's absolutely incredible that any one of them should think they have any chance of being elected. Who needs a president that doesn't listen to or care one bit about the mass majority they're supposed to represent? Their condoning of scare tactics, invasion of privacy, torturing prisoners of war is criminal and godless. And the GOP campaigns on family values and good Christian values. What a joke!

After eight years of Bush's dictator-like ways, I don't think anyone is looking forward to another four years of the same.

Enough of the G (Goofing) O (Off) P (Plenty) Party.

And the Democrats need to straighten up and start facing the reality that being wimpy and wishy washy doesn't sit well with voters. When dealing with the GOP, they need a reversal of form.

" Murray, the best candidates out there is Joe Biden and he has no chance of making a stir anywhere. To think that anyone would elect the 'intern' Hillary is why the Republicans will kept the White House with Fred at the helm, the other long shot in the race. "

" Does Murray think that the fanatical Muslims are going to go away when Bush leaves office? That all of a sudden all the bad guys are going to have a change of heart and decide we aren't so bad after all because a Democrat is elected (although the Islamofacsits would vote Democrat knowing how soft they are on prosecuting the War on Terror)? Murry and the dead horse: 1 The rest of us: 0 "

" Hey child--weren't you all warm and cozy in bed just a few hours before the attacks on 9/11? No safety nets needed? "

" It boggles me how people think they need more and more "safetey procedures" for the american public. We are perfectly safe, we don't need anymore freedom crushing security and surveilance messures in place. "

" Right on Murray! The Democrats have got to get it together or else this same old Republican agenda will continue to plague the American people. The rich get richer and the war machine continues all under the subterfuge of religion and patriotism. So much inconsistancy and so many hipocrates under the right wing ideology it seems the Democrates should have plenty of opportunities to lead the American people to peace and prosperity for all. "

" Hey Murray----DUH!! You did make one good point. The Dems have to face up and realize that times are changing. It doesn't always pay to be the "nice guy." We need to flex our muscles to keep the American public safe on American soil. IF a Dem is elected to the White House, HE will have to realize that this is a nasty world full of idiotic throwbacks from the stone ages now equipped with WMD's. "

" Murray: You would fit in like a well made tailored suit if you moved to Ithaca, the City of ultra left wingers. You would be a shoe-in for the next Mayor of the city. "

" Murray: You, Karl and the lot of uninformed, breathlessly emotional and politically correct liberals are the best advertisement for voting Republican. With the writer's strike going on, you should write comedy...because this letter is a joke. "
