At a public hearing, county planning officials presented a plan for the expansion of the Economic Development Zone [EDZ] to Aurelius which would include at least two businesses - TRW and Owasco Beverage. There was no opposition from the approximately 25 people present at Thursday night's hearing and the board voted to confirm the expansion. The expanded EDZ will include 10 acres at the TRW site and 40 acres surrounding Owasco Beverage, whose roadway entrance is already being improved under a $120,000 state grant.
