Quendel Ellison might run out of room in his trophy case.
One year after leading the Auburn High School football team to its first NYSPHAA Class AA state championship, the 2006 player of the year helped his new school bring home some hardware of its own.
Ellison rushed for 231 yards on 19 carries and found the end zone five times as Trinity-Pawling prep school blew past Phillips Academy 41-7 in the NEPSAC Class A Eton Estey Bowl.
The win is the second postseason title for Trinity-Pawling (8-1) in the past three years.
Ellison's monster game was even more impressive due to the fact that the bruising back was pulled from the game in the third quarter as Trinity-Pawling had the game well in hand.
The Auburn graduate finishes the season with 1,369 yards and 23 touchdowns in nine games.
He averaged over 150 yards rushing per game.
Ellison's touchdowns against Phillips Academy came on runs of 80, 2, 8, 2 and 23 yards.
As a senior with the Maroons, Ellison rushed for 2,111 yards with 24 touchdowns and was a key cog in Auburn's historic run to a Section III title and a state championship against Monroe-Woodbury.
He finished his high school career with 4,427 yards and 45 touchdowns on 632 carries.
Ellison has yet to declare where he will play in 2008.
