Today is Public Health Thanks Day
The Cayuga County Health Department would like to acknowledge today as Public Health Thank You Day.
The health department recognizes the compassion and devotion to providing the highest quality skilled care of our professionally trained staff, not only during the month of November, but throughout the year.
Audubon Center hosting scouts
The Montezuma Audubon Center will host a naturalist merit badge program for Cub and Boy Scouts Saturday, Dec. 1.
The 2 1/2-hour program will feature activities, games and a hike focused on identifying birds, using binoculars, learning about migration, and more. Each scout will receive age-appropriate handouts and make a bird feeder from discarded items.
Scouts may bring a lunch for the 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. sessions. The fee for each program is $5 per scout.
Scout leaders can call 365-3588 or send e-mail to cstokes-cawley@audubon.org for more information.
