Re: Scarcity of school lunch money, what about the NYS lottery? Weren't the funds designated for education; where's the cash?
Does the individual who was concerned about their tax dollars being spent on cup-stacking in Union Springs also buy their gas from the Indians?

I'm wondering why it is that every time there's a bad accident on any road, it's always blamed on the road. It's never that the driver possibly didn't follow the rules of the road.

Maybe I'm just a cultural dinosaur in 2007 America, but I always thought that good customer service automatically included such elements as a friendly demeanor and making the most of your God-given appearance. Most women and men are not fashion model material, but why use this as an excuse not to dress nicely and spend a little time on basic grooming, to look more professional?

I makes no sense that the Health Department requires a doctor's prescription to get a pneumonia shot at the clinics. If a person can afford a doctor's appointment to obtain the prescription wouldn't they get the shot while at the doctor's office?

I hope that now that the mayor's race is over, the windmill company that was thinking of coming to Auburn, I hope they pull out and run.

" Who blames the road every time there is an accident? I think you will have to return that fact you pulled from your butt back to where it belongs. "

" You are convicted of a crime and therefore sent to jail, you are not checking into a 5 star restaurant, so be grateful you are being fed and housed, there many people on the streets who are starving and freezing. "

" Regarding the new road construction up here on East Genesee St. - are they going to install the nice old fashioned green lights like they did for South and West Genny? "

" WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE NEW JOBS SECTION OF THE CLASSIFIEDS?? PEOPLE IN THIS AREA ARE LOOKING FOR LOCAL EMPLOYMENT, NOT IN DALLAS, TEXAS OR FREMONT, CALIFORNIA!! I HOPE THE NEWEST GENIOUS AT THE CITIZEN GETS A REALITY CHECK, AND GOES BACK TO THE PREVIOUS SYSTEM. "

" Say Hello to a older person. If you see an elderly person sitting in a nursing home and you walk by them, say hello. It will really make their day because they feel that somebody noticed them. It only take a second and you will feel good also.. "

" Unknown: the answer is sour grapes..."my guy lost so I am gonna stamp my feet and hold my breath" (in typical Auburn fashion)...as for the lunch money; that is a Federally funded program..the Lotto has nothing to do with it. While I have the chance, I am neither a Lattimore nor Quill supporter BUT I think it's time to get behind the new administration, QUIT WHINNING, and look to the task of progressing this dwindling hamlet toward it's potential glory "
