CYO sign-ups begin Monday
CYO high school basketball sign-ups will take place from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26, at the St. Alphonsus gym and from 6 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 28 at Sacred Heart Hall.

Participants must be Catholic.

YMCA offering dodgeball league

The Auburn YMCA-WEIU is offering a co-ed dodgeball league.

The league begins from 6 to 8 p.m., Nov. 30.

Offered for adults, the league meets on Friday nights for six weeks, plus two weeks of playoffs .

The team fee is $75 (for each non-YMCA member, add $15) and teams must consist of six more more players.

Registration deadline is noon on Nov. 29.

Roster and payment must be presented at time of registration.

Auburn Pop Warner is looking for new board members.

Meetings are on the first Wednesday of every month, except for January.

Mixed doubles tourney at Starlite

The third annual Mixed Doubles tournament is at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18 at Starlite Lanes.

Bowlers must be sanctioned in the local bowling association.

Handicap for the tournament for women is 100 percent of 200 and for men 100 percent of 220.

Le Moyne hosting softball clinic

There will be a LeMoyne softball clinic on Nov. 18, Dec. 2, Dec. 9, Dec. 16, Jan. 13, Jan. 27 and Feb. 3 at LeMoyne's Athletic and Recreation building.

The clinics will be divided into two sessions - pitching and hitting/defense.

The pitching session will be from 8:30 to 10 a.m. while the hitting and defense session will run from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

The cost of each session is $10 or $15 to attend both.

Holmberg teaching baseball clinic

Auburn Doubledays manager Dennis Holmberg will be conducting his annual winter baseball clinic on Thursday, Jan. 31 and Saturday, Feb. 2 in the batting tunnel at Falcon Park.

The clinic is split into two sessions - from 5 to 7 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday and from 9 to 11 a.m. and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.

It is open to boys and girls ages 8 to 15.

Reservations are $55 and can be made by calling 255-2489.

Each session can hold up to 20 children.

Every participant will receive a voucher for a box seat ticket for a 2008 home game and a 2007 New York-Penn League Championship cap.

Pizza will be served following each session on Feb. 2.
