Governor Spitzer, Senator Clinton need to listen

Saturday, November 17, 2007 12:11 AM EST

Our elected Gov. Spitzer and Senator Clinton want illegal aliens to get citizenship even though they are here illegally.
Both federal laws and state laws don't mean anything to them.

If senators are elected to higher office, as Gov. Spitzer was, they will work on their own agenda.

The voting people's voices have been clear, but not to either Gov. Spitzer or Senator Clinton.

Make your voice heard at election times and throughout election campaigns. Speak out for laws on the books! Our rights are being ignored.

" Double Dumb, you think too simply...but that doesn't surprise me. You too Scatalogical-Fanatic. The cheap oil is there, dummys, but Bush and Cheney both know that the cat is out of the bag--everybody knows that we're there for the oil--didn't even Armitage say that recently?--but they can't start harvesting it because: A. The Iraqi's know it now and would turn even more on the troops, B. it would be a PR disaster, C. It would be impossible to do without an infrastructure to support the production--like pipelines, transportation, refineries, etc....You can't just go pumping oil and put it where? Not when there's still a hostile presence in the from of insurgents! Look, fools--you can't start conducting business as usual when there's a war going on. The HUGE--and I mean "Fuccillo-HUGE" permanent bases we've built over there now are meant for one thing--to promote and PROTECT the oil industry when the war is finally over and all the troops have to do is deal with the threats against the oil operation--but Bush is caught in a no-win situation. They thought they'd have gone in there and be welcomed as liberators, set up shop, and be making trillions--just like British Petroleum had earlier this century--but now they've snafu'd things up so royally that,-and this is no surprise-they don't know WHAT to do to save their pipe dreams, and they're too stubborn and have too much pride and money invested to say "uncle". I mean, I can't believe you guys don't see that! But most important is that Bush's uneasy buddies, the Saudi's have NO INTEREST in seeing the markets flooded with cheap oil??? It's even too politically unfeasible for them to risk PO'ing the Saudi's who are now their only real ally in the area--and an increasingly tenuous one at that. Guys, turn off FAUX News, and watch Kieth Olberman, OK? YAWN!!! "

" DD's not always right, but makes a few good points. If we're there for oil, then where is the cheap oil? Also, it is pretty amazing that anyone would be foolish/stupid enough to believe that 9/11 was planned by our government. What a secret to keep--impossible. I heard Rosie O'Donnel say that she'd never seen steel melted by fire there must have been explosive implants(wow! Rosie, steel must be formed by magical little steel working elves that do it at night with love and rainbows). Karl, I guess we'll have to lump you in with fat ugly stupid angry lesbians. It is impossible that considering thousands saw the jets crash, and no one has come forward to state the fact that they saw explosions, I guess your idiotic theory is trumped. I am not aiming to offend you, but you have some really off base statements on record Karl. "

" Oh, yea--Karl--reading your latest, you state that the "ONLY REASON" we haven't had an attack on US soil since 9/11 is because the neocons got what they wanted. Yea, I guess homeland security had nothing to do with stopping the terrorists coming into the US through Canada with all of those missles. I think they must have turned themselves in when they found out the neocons got what they wanted. "

" ps Karl--so you're also saying that Bin Laden and the rest of the savage Islamy salami's are savages, who would do anything to cause us trouble? So.......we're not doing the right thing fighting terrorism in the middle east? holy feral cat crap Karl--which way are you going with this? "

DD wrote on Nov 17, 2007 12:54 PM:

" Karl--When you are ever right (well at least in my eyes), I say it, don't I? I Now, to your oil argument. We're there. We have permanent bases. Where's the cheap oil? "

karl L wrote on Nov 17, 2007 10:12 AM:

" The only reason that there's been no act of terror on US soil since 9/11 is because the neocons got what they wanted with 9/11--a climate of fear that allowed them to get into Iraq, set up permanent bases, and get their hands on the oil! FURTHERMORE--Bin Laden TOO got what he wanted--a reason for permanently-justified "jihad" and war with the West. In the neocon's world, it would only HURT them now if they engineered or allowed a new attack on our soil--although I FULLY BELIEVE that it is still possible before the presidential elections. If there is one, say, in August or Sept 08, will YOU say that I"M right, DD? "

" Actually Brew, the politicians ARE the mouthpiece of their constituants. They are representatives of their district, state, etc. Now, like I said, there are some things that the American public can't wrap their arms around, so the hard decisions are left up to the experts. So I guess you are saying that Spitzer listened to his heart? Who is he Napoleon Dynamite? (great movie--you should watch it--funny as heck) Funny Brew, he was quoted as saying that the people of New York made their feelings known--then he dropped the plan to license illegals. That is the way it is supposed to work in America. With regard to the war, I want our people home too, but this lame story line many have taken that the war is a "for profit" venture has not been proven. When was the last time an act of terror was committed on our soil by any terrorist group? OK just say it Brew and Karl--DD you're right--the last act of terror was 9/11, and yes, the fact that we are interupting the terror networks where they breed has something to do with the fact that they are not able to get organized again to perform. So, I guess Brew, my question to you is---if the politicians are not there to represent their constituants, what are they there for? "

" No Double Dumb, a politician listens to his own heart and acts accordingly. They are not your mouthpiece. You elect a person, not a robot programmed to your desires. Read the book Profiles in Courage by John Kennedy. If your interpetation was correct our current president would have been impeached 4 years ago. "

" Its not like the republicans listen to their constituants either......Its just that Hillary and Spitzer have, as of late, shown that they have their own agenda that they will follow no matter what. In a certain set of circumstances, that is a great trait to have. When you're an elected politician, you should put your own belief system aside, and follow the reccomendations of the people who put you there. Unless there is something the public is not privey to, like national security interests, etc., there shouldn't be an exception to the rule. Take for example, Spitzer's idea of allowing illeagal aliens to become licensed drivers. He is contradicting the oath he took as governor. He is not upholding the laws of the land people. This was his big "pet project" to launch himself into the national light for his run at presidential next term. "
