It would be impossible to do without an infrastructure to support the production--like pipelines, transportation, refineries, etc....You can't just go pumping oil and put it where? Not when there's still a hostile presence in the from of insurgents! Look, fools--you can't start conducting business as usual when there's a war going on. The HUGE--and I mean "Fuccillo-HUGE" permanent bases we've built over there now are meant for one thing--to promote and PROTECT the oil industry when the war is finally over and all the troops have to do is deal with the threats against the oil operation--but Bush is caught in a no-win situation. They thought they'd have gone in there and be welcomed as liberators, set up shop, and be making trillions--just like British Petroleum had earlier this century--but now they've snafu'd things up so royally that,-and this is no surprise-they don't know WHAT to do to save their pipe dreams, and they're too stubborn and have too much pride and money invested to say "uncle". I mean, I can't believe you guys don't see that! But most important is that Bush's uneasy buddies, the Saudi's have NO INTEREST in seeing the markets flooded with cheap oil??? It's even too politically unfeasible for them to risk PO'ing the Saudi's who are now their only real ally in the area--and an increasingly tenuous one at that.
