Snow plow stolen from business
Investigators are seeking information about a snowplow stolen from an Aurelius business.

According to the Cayuga County Sheriff's Office, a 7.5-foot Fisher brand snowplow was taken sometime between Nov. 1 and Nov. 14 from M & R Sports and Mower at 2014 Cranebrook Drive, across from the Fingerlakes Mall.

The plow is yellow and has lights attached to the frame, police said.

The plow belongs to the business and has been used to clear the parking lot, according to office detective Brian Schenck.

The sheriff's office asks anyone with information to call 253-3545.

Cars broken into

at Auburn inn

Someone damaged and stole objects from vehicles at an Auburn hotel last weekend.

According to the Auburn Police Department, one or more people smashed the windows of four vehicles parked at Inn at the Finger Lakes, 12 Seminary Ave., sometime early Sunday morning.

A satellite radio was taken from one vehicle, and a guitar amplifier was taken from another, according to APD Deputy Chief Tom Murphy.

Earlier in the night, a patrol officer was dispatched to the hotel at 1:45 a.m. after the manager received several noise complaints.

The complaints were over two problematic rooms booked for an out-of-town wedding, Murphy said.

Police are still investigating the incident.

Health Dept. to hold flu shot clinics

The Cayuga County Health Department will hold two flu clinics Friday.

The first will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. at St Patrick's Church, Mechanic Street, Cato, and the second from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, VFW, Grove Street, Moravia.

The clinics are for adults ages 18 and older.

No appointment is necessary, and there is no charge for people with Medicare Part B who bring their card. The department will bill Medicare Part B for the vaccine charges.

Those not covered under Medicare Part B will be charged $30 for a flu shot. Pneumococcal vaccines will be available for people with a doctor's prescription for $45.
