A car accident along the Arterial in Auburn Thursday morning has left three people injured.
According to the Auburn Police Department, a 2000 Chrysler van was traveling west along the Arterial approaching North Division Street when it was struck by a 2002 GMC pickup truck trying to make a left onto North Division Street at about 9:30 a.m. The two drivers as well as a passenger were transported to Auburn Memorial Hospital, where they are currently undergoing treatment.
Witnesses say that the pickup truck, operated by Robert G. Donalds, 76, was making a left turn onto North Division Street on a red arrow, colliding with the van operated by John Gonnella, 78, who was driving westbound with a green light. police said. Gonnella's wife, Santina, was a passenger in the van.
The vehicles were badly damaged and were towed from the scene, officials said. A full investigation is pending.
