Pizza is a simple necessity of life
Each Wednesday, The Citizen features someone in the food services industry from the Finger Lakes community in The Banks: This week, we spotlight Jordan Hamilton.

Q. What is the one food you cannot live without? Why?

A. Pizza, there's just something about it. You can never have too much pizza.

Q. Fill in the blank. People would be surprised to know that even though I work in the food industry, when I am at home in the kitchen, I __________.

A. Never cook.

Q. What do you like most about living and working in the Finger Lakes region?

A. I have to say, the scenery is really nice. And the people are really nice to work with and work for.

Q. If you were given $1 million to open your own restaurant or bar, describe the bar or restaurant and what type of food you would serve.

A. A pizza restaurant and bar, with mostly Italian pizza and pasta.

Q. Where would it be located?

A. Somewhere in central New York. I grew up here, I like everything about this place.

Q. On the day of your restaurant/bar's grand opening, if you could select anyone in the world to be your first guests, who would they be?

A. My bosses, Angelo and Alicia, and my mom and dad.

Q. Describe your most embarrassing moment while working on the job.

A. When I put a hot pizza on a pan and grabbed it and dropped it.

Q. What is your favorite junk food?

A. Doritos.

Q. What have you learned are the top three ways to run a successful food business?

A. A great personality, the quality of food is important and you have to get the food out on time.

Q. If you weren't working in the food business what would you like to be doing?

A. Getting my criminal justice degree.

Q. Ughh. What's the one food which you absolutely can't stomach? Why?

A. Any kind of fish. I can't deal with the smell or the taste.
