Every arrangement has been made the the Polish Societies of this city to give the 15 men who are going out to fight for liberty and the overthrow of German militarism, a rousing sendoff.

The village tax which has been a topic of major importance in Union Springs for eight years has finally been ruled legal by the state attorney general. Several residents have refused to pay the village tax from the year 1929, on technical alibis, which were overruled by an official order of the attorney general.

IRA - Cato-Meridian has been declared a “drug-free zone” and the district is taking a “zero-tolerance” approach in combatting an increase in marijuana use. Recent incidents prompted the formation of the Zero Tolerance Committee.

AUBURN - Auburn Downtown Partnership/Business Improvement District wants Cayuga County to keep workers downtown, but there is worry about where workers will park. Many complain that the 137 parking spaces the county needs puts strain on the parking situation in the Dill Street lot.
