SCIPIO CENTER - Last year, Debbie and Rick Walburger were looking for a house. When they found a church instead, they didn't argue.

Earlier this year, the Walburgers purchased the building that used to house St. Bernard's Catholic parish in Scipio Center and have started The River of Live Fellowship. Though the new church is currently non-denominational, it is associated with Trinity Assembly of God Church in Clay.

The Walburgers will hold their official kickoff rally at 4 p.m. today at the church. The event will feature music, worship, food and fellowship, according to Debbie Walburger, and will offer local residents a chance to see what the new church is all about.
