Auburn police are searching for an elderly local man who disappeared more than two weeks ago.
On Oct. 25, Elwyn R. Caldwell, 83, of Auburn, left his home on Hamilton Avenue in his Oldsmobile Cutlass, withdrew some money at a local First Niagara Bank branch and has not been seen since, according to the Auburn Police Department. Caldwell was reported missing Tuesday, and his roommates said that it is unusual to go this length of time without seeing or being contacted by him, according to police.
Authorities said there is no evidence of foul play at this time, and Caldwell has no known medical history. He is not known to have any local relatives or close friends, police said.
Caldwell is described as a white male with gray hair, 5-feet-10-inches and 150 pounds. His vehicle is a 1994, blue, four-door Oldsmobile Cutlass with New York plates reading DVZ1879.
Investigators ask anyone with information about Caldwell or his whereabouts to contact the APD at 253-3231 or 255-4703.
