State police arrested three Auburn residents on charges they stole markers out of multiple cemeteries.

Jeffrey P. Telvock, 32, of 3 Perrine St. Apt. 1, was charged with six counts of petit larceny and remanded to the Cayuga County Jail.

Nicole L. Smith, 25, of 3 Perrine St. Apt. 1, was charged with a count of petit larceny and released on her own recognizance.

Carl M. Bond, 19, of 136 Franklin St. Apt. 3, was charged with three counts of petit larceny and a count of making a false written statement. He was released on his own recognizance.

State police based in Auburn received several complaints about theft of bronze veterans plaques and brass veteran flag holders from various cemeteries in Cayuga, Wayne and Seneca counties during the past two months.
