AUBURN - Republican David Walrath said he's facing lots of work in his next two-years as District 6 representative in the county Legislature. “I'm looking forward to continuing efforts to clean up Owasco Lake, rebuild the seawall and restore Emerson Park,” he said. Four-year incumbent Walrath, 51, won his third straight term Tuesday night by beating out challenger and first-time Democratic candidate Gino Alberici, 61.

Sherwood Boehlert had a message for the constituents in the new part of the 24th Congressional District. “I intend to do them proud and serve them well,” Boehlert said Tuesday night from his Utica campaign headquarters. Unofficial election results early Wednesday showed Boehlert defeating Dr. David Walrath 88,681 to 25,813.
