Each Monday, The Citizen features someone from the Finger Lakes community.
This week, we spotlight Donald Leach.
Q. What is the most rewarding part of your job?
A. Dealing with people.
Q. What is the most challenging aspect of your job?
A. Not being able to help somebody, having no way to help a person.
Q. What would be your dream job, and in what part of the world would you be working?
A. Either a radio DJ would be a lot of fun, or a professional athlete, and I don't care where.
Q. What's the best way to relax after a tough day?
A. Hang out with my wife and kids.
Q. What do you like most about living and/or working in the Finger Lakes region?
A. The scenery is just incredible, the wide variety is amazing. I've been to other parts of the world and there is nothing like it is here.
Q. If you had the choice of meeting any three people in the world who would they be, and why?
A. I don't get into the big fanfare for celebrities, they're just humans like we are. But Ken Griffey Jr. would be nice to meet.
Q. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
A. Working here, I enjoy it here.
Q. If you were to win the lottery tomorrow, what's the first thing you'd do?
A. I'd make sure all my family was set up, right down to my cousins. I didn't earn it and I don't deserve it, so I'll share the wealth.
Q. What would people who think they know you be most surprised to find out about you?
A. That I was actually quiet and shy as a kid.
Q. If you were mayor or supervisor of your town/city, what's the first thing you'd change?
A. I would find a way to bring more new businesses to town.
