Owner sought after dog injures another
An Auburn woman is hoping to find the owner of a dog that wounded her dog, for fear that she and her injured pet will both have to be treated for possible exposure to rabies.
Jennie Ruva said her small terrier-poodle mix dog was attacked by a large black dog at the Herman Avenue playground Wednesday, Oct. 31.
She is hoping a man seen with two unleashed black dogs there at the time can be located so that the man's dogs' medical records can be examined to make sure the black dogs have been vaccinated against rabies.
Anyone with information can call 730-1407.
Club will enhance speaking skills
The Happy Talk Toastmasters will be meeting at 7 p.m. at St. Luke's church lounge in Auburn every Tuesday (except election day), through the end of November.
It is an excellent opportunity to develop speaking and leadership skills.
The public is welcome. For more information, call coordinator Michael Ricci at 252-4561.
Winter parking rules take effect soon
Drivers will soon have to alternate parking on city streets. Alternative parking begins in Auburn on Thursday, Nov. 15, and will continue until March 30.
Except where otherwise prohibited, vehicles shall not be parked on even-numbered sides of street on odd-numbered days for a 24-hour period starting at 6 p.m. nor on odd-numbered sides of street on even-numbered days beginning at 6 p.m.
