Quilts x 2
Quilts have been a vessel to pass on history through generations, keep the sick warm through bouts of illness and use up scraps of fabrics.
For the 26th year, the Schweinfurth Art Center will show another use for the clothes canvases, art. The annual “Quilts=Art=Quilts” show will open this weekend.
The exhibition will include 90 contemporary quilts by 81 artists from around the nation, Canada, Japan and Ireland. For a list of participating artists and where they are from, visit www.schweinfurthartcenter.org.
