Elbridge-based State Police are investigating a one-vehicle accident in the town of Skaneateles that killed a Weedsport man Friday afternoon.
Keith W. Kenyon, 57, of Third Drive, Weedsport, was driving his 1993 Ford pickup on County Line Road near Taylor Road in the town of Skaneateles when he lost control on a curve, state police said.
His truck collided with a tree at about 3:52 p.m.
Emergency medical technicians responding to the call pronounced Kenyon dead at the scene. The Onondaga County Medical Examiner's Office assisted in the investigation, state police said.
Troopers are still working to determine what caused the accident.
Authorities said Kenyon was not wearing a seat belt and that his chances of survival would have been greater had he been wearing it at the time of the accident.
