Elbridge-based State Police are investigating a one-vehicle accident in the town of Skaneateles that killed a Weedsport man Friday.

Keith W. Kenyon, 57, of Third Drive, was driving his 1993 Ford pickup on County Line Road near Taylor Road in Skaneateles when he lost control on a curve, state police said. His truck collided with a tree at about 3:52 p.m.

Emergency medical technicians pronounced Kenyon dead at the scene. The Onondaga County Medical Examiner's Office assisted in the investigation. Troopers still are working to determine what caused the accident.

Authorities said a seat belt would have improved the likelihood of survival had it been fastened at the time of the accident.
