Mother of murdered son plans seminar
A presentation titled “Good Choices” will be given by Darlene Tallman from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, in the Cayuga County Cornell Cooperative Extension, 248 Grant Ave., Auburn.
Douglas and Darlene Tallman are parents who lost their son to violent homicide. The presentation will stress the importance that today, unfortunately, many young children make harmful choices in regards to drugs and violence.
Young people, ages 12 and above, and the community are invited to attend this session. Because of the traumatic nature of the subject matter, it is important that your family and/or agency have someone available with all youth that evening to discuss and to follow-up on the messages given by the presenter.
In support of this endeavor, a free-will donation may be made payable to: “Parents of Murdered Children, Inc.” This national organization provides support and assistance to all survivors of homicide victims while working to create a world free of murder.
