The Wells College women's tennis team earned the North Eastern Athletic Conference's automatic qualification to the National Collegiate Athletic Association tennis tournament, the first in school's athletic history.
The Express entered the NEAC tournament as a four seed and upset top-ranked Keuka College in the semifinals.

In the championship round, Wells took on second-seeded Penn State-Berks. Due to its provisional member status with the NCAA, Penn State-Berks did not receive the qualifying bid.

The first round of the 27th annual Division III women's tennis championships is May 2-4, 2008.

Wells finished the regular season 10-6 overall and 4-2 in conference play.
