Spitzer is just a sample of what you will get if we get a Democrat for president. They love illegals because they want that vote.
It has been well-known for years that the residents of Skaneateles consider themselves a little better than the rest of us, but now I see the village of Aurora is joining in with them. By the way, what do you guys do with your garbage?

So a man in the village of Aurora has his door wide open in the driving lane of Route 90, and he wants to blame the truck driver for almost killing him. Maybe he should go to Wells College himself and see if they have a class in Common Sense 101.

I suspect that Mayor Tim Lattimore will get elected again for mayor of Auburn. He's following in his father's footsteps -- oh brother!

Hey all you Democrats out there, you wanted a Democratic governor - you've got one. Licenses for everybody - free!

Dennis, Carrie and Bob - please stop spreading misinformation in Fleming. You're just confusing people.

If you don't like the president of the United States, move to Iran. Try talking about their president that way and see where you end up.

America has become a victim of far too many of our perfectly healthy young men hanging around all day with nothing to do. They should join the army where they would have plenty to do.

I'm sick of hearing about the Cato town board, they're doing a good job. What does Meridian have to hide by not showing their finances to them?

If the inmate hadn't done wrong by society and had to be in jail on weekends, he would have been able to have the privilege of going to any funeral he needed go to. Obey the law.

When are people going to learn to turn their headlights on when it's raining? It is the law.

A special thank you to Capt. Dennis of the Salvation Army unit. He and his wife have been beautiful in helping us out.

George Fearon and the county Legislature never formally protested through the state about farmer's being singled out for huge assessment tax increases. That alone is sufficient reason to reelect none of these people.

The Bisgroves are destroying Auburn by giving Guy Cosentino so much money to give to anti-American organizations.

Here we go again, hiring another group to review water and sewer contracts. What's wrong with the city of Auburn, that we always have to go out of town and out of state to tell us what to do.

David Blair and the county Legislature, you blew it this time by jeopardizing the quality care of mental health in Cayuga County and other people's jobs.

To the trio from the Cato Town Board, what's with the letters to the voters? Mine went in the trash with all your other deeds.

To the baseball fan in Thursday's paper, how can you in all good conscience call the Yankees classless? All true baseball fans respect all baseball organizations, shame on you.

We should be glad that we have crows in Auburn. They're cleaning up all the food litter thrown from cars and by pedestrians.

I thought it was a little rude whoever said blowing in your trumpet is not a sport. Marching band is more than that and we've worked our butts off since August!

So many telephone directories being sent, why are we getting so many? Bring them to my door step instead of in the mud.

Why is it that pre-kindergarteners are picked up in the morning and then brought home at 11:30 a.m.? It's a waste for three hours in school.

Congratulations to Auburn girls soccer on their sectional win.

Isn't it nice to know we live in a land where we are supposed to be able to practice freedom of religion. I'm hard pressed to believe that since now we can't say “In God We Trust,” in Washington it has to be covered in aluminum foil.

I noticed in the debate Mr. Budelmann didn't seem to have too much to say about all those documents that Mr. Brown uncovered with his Freedom of Information Act request. You know, the ones that pointed away from Brown and to the real killer, Barry Bench.

Mike Bass has surely demonstrated his immaturity and lack of knowledge of the criminal justice system during the debate. Vote Budelmann, vote experience and maturity!

" Just Venting- " How dare you people come to my home during supper and ask me to vote. Because of this you just lost a vote. Leave us alone, We didn't invite you. You are trespassing " ?? Did you put a sign on your door that you were eating dinner? How else were they to know that you were eating dinner? Any earlier you may have been at work and any later, would have been too late. You're ridiculous! "

" Bobbo obviously didn't learn anything from his supposed hard times. Distressed -- Karl L is on the money. What you choose to do about the situation is up to you, but my advice is couples counseling -- but you both have to be sure you are indeed committed to making your relationship work -- that that is BOTH of your priorities. Individual counseling is good in its place, but its focus is what's best for the individual. Being part of a couple requires give-n-take for both parties and doesn't always come out to exactly the same thing. Until your husband can "fix" that painful gaping hole in his self-esteem, he'll always be yearning to fill it somehow. Meanwhile, it won't be good for your self esteem to stay with a man who cheats on you repeatedly. Talk to him. Find out if he is really committed to getting well, feeling better about himself and above all, to making your relationship work. If he is, get in to couple's counseling for help getting there. Good luck to you. "

" Distressed, Your husband is having the affair BECAUSE he is feeling depressed and worthless--BECAUSE he lost his job. Men place a high premium on feeling like the "breadwinner" and it's a cultural, outward sign of "masculinity" if a man can support his family. Many men sink into depression when they feel like they've failed in their primary role. The attention and positive reinforcement he receives from the other woman is helping to mitigate his feelings of unworthiness; also, it's a convenient, addictive distraction. Your going off to work has left him tooo much time on his hands; unfortunately someone has to bring home the bacon. He's depressed now because now even that distraction is gone and he's just as miserable as before--but without the reinforcement to his fragile ego, and without the exciting distraction. It's not an easy situation. You may have to tell him that its time to get some serious counseling--and a job would help. He needs to find his self worth somewhere outside of the bedroom. And you can either support him with the knowledge that he may stray again while you're off paying the bills, or kick him out until he decides to prove to you that he deserves you, and is ready to earn your trust again. I'd give him one more chance; he's distant now cuz he feels guilty, and even MORE unworthy because he got caught and let YOU down. Explain to him that you love him, and that you understand why he had the affair, but caution him that while you understand, you will not remain with him should he stray again. Also, tell him he needs to recognize within HIMSELF WHY he had the affair, and to rescue his own self-worth by getting a job again, no matter whether it is as good or hi-paying as before. The key is to TAKE SOME KIND OF ACTION AND GET OFF THE COUCH! Good luck, sincerely! "

" The Yankees are a classless organization. The Red Sox had several players that signed big contracts and turned in poor performances during the regular season. The management of the Sox made no public comment about any of those guys even when the press pushed for a comment. The result was these guys played their hearts out and won the series. "

I think everyone is getting sick of listening to this band - sports debate. Just face facts. The jock strap boys are idiots and you will never convert them. So give it up! "

" Distressed, if you had made your presence known when you discovered them and he continued to deny it, you have a real problem on your hands. That said, noone can tell you what is best for you - that is something that you'll need to meditate over and figure out for yourself. Probably not what you want to hear, but that's the best advice I could give. But then my advice is free, and that may be all it is worth. Good luck. "

" How sad is it when a mom comes trick or treating with a 2-3 month old baby asleep in a stroller, in no costume. Didn't even try to lie to say it was for someone else (another child) She was all alone except for the baby in the stroller. Hope she enjoyed all the candy. I should have questioned her but I was too flabergasted. "

Yikes wrote on Nov 1, 2007 7:26 PM:

" Dear Distressed; I typically don't give advice but perhaps I can help. A car stalling after being driven a short distance can be caused by a variety of faults with the engine. Start by checking that there is no debris in the fuel line. If it is clear, check the clips holding the vacuum tubing onto the inlet manifold. If neither of these approaches solve the problem, it could be that the fuel pump itself is faulty and causing low delivery pressure to the carburetor float chamber. I hope this helps. "

Distressed wrote on Nov 1, 2007 6:11 PM:

" I know this probably isn't the place for advice but I'll give it a try. The other day I headed off to work leaving my husband in the house watching TV as usual. I hadn't gone more than a mile down the road when my engine conked out and the car came to a halt. I walked back home to get my husband's help and when I got home, I couldn't believe my eyes. He was in the bedroom with a neighbor lady and I'll spare you the details. I am 32, my husband is 34 and we have been married for twelve years. When I confronted him, he tried to lie his way out of it but finally admitted that he'd been having an affair for the past six months. I told him he would have to stop or I would leave him. He was let go from his job about six months ago and he says he has been feeling increasingly depressed and worthless. I love him very much, but ever since I gave him the ultimatum he has become increasingly distant. I don't feel I can get through to him anymore. Can anyone please help? "

" Karl, I certainly have the utmost respect for Olberman, but calling him Superman? I think Superman just might take offense to that. LOL!! Seriously though, he is probably the smartest commentator on mainstream television has made some rather ballsy (in this day and age at least) diatribes against the Bush crime family, so I have to give him a great deal of credit. If I had my TV hooked up, I'd probably be watching him every night along with Colbert and Stewart. But I gave up television for the last time a year and a half ago cause I couldn't take it anymore. Thank heaven for the internet. "

There have been more roll overs close to our waters then you know about. Truckers are necessary and none of us have a problem with gas, milk, USPS, groceries, etc haulers because they are bringing goods to us. These trash devils are bringing ZERO here except maybe to flip the bird which they have done many times as they barrell past my house. I live in an old victorian and since Seneca Meadows opened their free for all my plaster is cracking and the windows rattle.
