The U.S. Small Business Administration announced Wednesday that federal disaster loans will be available to small businesses in Cayuga, Wayne, Monroe, Ontario and Seneca counties that were damaged in a hail storm July 13.
The SBA's Economic Injury Disaster Loan program is available to farm-related and non-farm-related small business concerns and small agricultural cooperatives that suffered financial losses as a direct result of the disaster.

Eligible small businesses can qualify for loans up to $1.5 million with a 4 percent interest rate and terms up to 30 years.

SBA determines eligibility for the program based on the size and type of business and financial resources.

The SBA determines loan amounts, which are based on each applicant's financial condition.

SBA cannot provide loans to agricultural producers.

Interested business owners are directed to contact the SBA's Customer Service Center at 1 (800) 659-2955 or 1 (800) 877-8339 for the hearing impaired Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 10 p.m.

Loan applications can be downloaded from their Web site at www.sba.gov/services/disasterassistance. Completed applications should be mailed to: U.S. Small Business Administration, Processing and Disbursement Center, 14925 Kingsport Rd., Fort Worth, TX 76155.
