Sacred Heart Parish to host turkey dinner
Sacred Heart Parish Center will host a turkey party at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, at the center, 90 Melrose Road, Auburn. The party will feature turkeys, hams, gift certificates and door prizes. Admission and refreshments are free.

Boy Scouts, fire dept. to host barbecue

Boy Scout Troop 75 and Poplar Ridge Fire Department will host a chicken barbecue from noon until the food is sold out on Saturday, Nov. 3, at the department, 2423 Route 34B, Poplar Ridge.

Full dinners are $6.50 and half-dinners are $4. To reserve a chicken, call 364-7433.

Harvest supper to be held Saturday

The Fleming Federated Church will hold its annual Harvest Supper at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at Fleming Firehouse No. 2 on Route 34, Fleming.

The menu consists of baked ham, parsley potatoes, squash, apple salad, beet relish, rolls and breads, homemade pie, coffee, tea and milk. The supper is $7.50 for adults, $3.50 for children 6 to 12 and free for children 5 and younger.

Church and school host fundraiser

SS. Peter and Paul Church and School will hold its annual benefit dinner from 5 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at the Ukrainian National Club, 125 Washington St., Auburn.

Featured will be a full buffet dinner, an open bar and music by Dance Inc. A total of $10,000 in cash prizes will be given away during the dinner. First prize is $5,000.

Tickets are $100 and can be purchased by phone or by mailing a check to SS. Peter and Paul School, 134 Washington St., Auburn, NY 13021.

Girl Scout cookie season begins

Girl Scouts will be conducting point-of-sale booths from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, at Wal-Mart, 297 Grant Ave., Auburn.

They will also be stationed all Saturdays in November at the Fingerlakes Mall in Aurelius. Customers can purchase and pick up cookies on the spot.

Church to hold pork chop dinner

St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church will hold a pork chop dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, at the church, 73 Cottage St., Auburn.

The dinner is $10 for adults and $6 for children 12 and younger.

Election Day pasta dinner scheduled

St. Joseph's Church will host its annual Election Day pasta dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, at the church, 111 S. Seneca St., Weedsport.

The dinner is $6 for adults, $5 for seniors, $3 for children 6 to 12 and free for children 5 and younger.
