Cornell Coop. to host Carnival of Fun
“A Carnival of Fun” will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, at the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Cayuga County, 248 Grant Ave., Auburn.
This event, which is open to the public, will be filled with games, demonstrations, animals and food.
There will also be applesauce and grape jelly making demonstrations.
Also, our 4-Hers will be in action showing off their projects and accomplishments.
We are doing this event as a fundraiser and hope that everyone can attend.
Admission is $1 per-person; maximum $5 per family. No RSVP is necessary.
Children's weaving class at museum
The Schweinfurth Memorial Art Center is offering Weaving Wonders from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Nov. 10.
This workshop is open to children ages 7 to 12 and will be taught by local art teacher Jacqueline Webster.
Children will explore basic weaving techniques to create all kinds of beautiful textured art pieces.
Pre-registration is required and online registration is now available at www.myartcenter.org.
Cost per class is $10 for members and $12 for non-members.
Craft fair and bake sale planned
The second annual craft fair/bazaar and bake sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 3, at the Weedsport First Baptist Church, 2707 Liberty St., Weedsport.
More than 20 vendors will be on-site selling scrapbooking materials, woodcrafts, hand sewn, knitted and crochete materials.
Lunch will be served with soup, chili, sandwiches and doughnuts available.
Go trick or treating at Waterloo Outlets
Waterloo Premium Outlets invites children (up to 12 years of age) to trick or treat at participating stores from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 31, at the outlet stores, Route 318, Waterloo.
Complimentary cider and doughnuts courtesy of the Seneca County Sheriff Deputies PBA and Waterloo Premium Outlets will be available in the food court.
RIT hosting information forum
An information forum about programs for part-time and online learning students will be offered from 5 to 7 p.m. Nov. 7, at the Rochester Institute of Technology.
The session will cover admission requirements, application procedures, online course information, winter quarter registration materials and a tour of the campus; sponsored by RIT's offices of Part-time and Graduate Enrollment Services at Bausch & Lomb Center (Building 77), RIT Henrietta campus.
