Monday forum to feature candidates
Several community organizations are trying to get more people involved in the political process.
Options for Independence, Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, the Auburn-Cayuga NAACP and IGNITE, through a collaborative effort, are hosting a Candidate's Forum to foster a greater involvement in the political process by their respective constituents.
The forum, from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29 at the Auburn Holiday Inn, will provide opportunities to meet the candidates in contested legislative districts, mayor, Auburn city council and district attorney. Attendees will have their chance to ask questions of the candidates in a town hall style forum. Questions from the audience will be gathered and read by moderator Jeremy Boyer, executive editor of The Citizen.
