Kids learn through EXPERIENCE, but we don't want them to bring another life into the "mistake" should they have sex; therefore, it is the prescient, responsible thing to do, to educate them about condoms and safe sex and yes, the OPTION of Abstinence, but not the REQUIREMENT, and furthermore, THAT option should NOT be couched in terms of "sin" or "immorality". I'm not advocating indiscriminately sleeping around AT ALL, but I have observed that if you posit such matters in terms of "what good kids don't do", that's the SUREST way to create a promiscuous little rebel!
