Lacrosse program begins next week
The Auburn YMCA-WEIU is offering a learn-by-playing Youth Super Sports Lacrosse program for ages 3 to 5 and 6 to 7 beginning the week of Oct. 29. The program focuses on skill development and provides the children with an individualized progressive introduction to the sport.
Practice sessions are active games. Rookies meet Saturday mornings at 10 and 11 a.m. for ages 3 to 5 and 9 to 10 a.m. for ages 6 to 7.
Participants must supply their own lacrosse sticks.
Fees are $20 for YMCA members and $40 for the general public.

Pasta dinner will benefit Pop Warner
There will be a pasta dinner from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6 at the Knights of Columbus to raise money for Auburn Pop Warner cheerleaders and football players who travel.
Take-out and delivery are available.There will also be a bake sale, a 50/50 raffle and other prizes.

Turkey Shoot at Salmon Creek
The annual Turkey Shoot will be held at 9 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, at Salmon Creek.
The shoot is open to the public. All events cost $3.

The Central New York Track & Field Officials Association is holding training sessions for new officials from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Nov. 7 and 14, at Canastota High School.

There will be a pancake breakfast from 8 to 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 28 at the Knights of Columbus Council #207.
The breakfast is to benefit Auburn High School basketball boosters.
The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 10. Children under 5 are free.

The league will introduce participants to the game of lacrosse with emphasis on skill development, practice games and sportsmanship.
Space is limited so early registration is recommended.

Pilat Design tourney at Starlite Lanes
The second annual Pilat Design Sport Bowling Masters will be Dec. 1-2.
There will be a 1 p.m. qualifying squad the first day at Starlite Lanes, followed by the finals beginning at noon the next day at Falcon Lanes. Guaranteed top prize is $700, with the winner also receiving a championship trophy in memory of Tom Aubin.
Entry fee is $50.
