Registration open for classes at YMCA
Registration for the next session of programs at the Auburn YMCA has already begun for YMCA members and will begin today for the general public.
Classes start the week of Oct. 29 and continue through Dec. 15.
There are available programs in aquatics, youth sports, adult fitness, adult sports and personal exercise.

Turkey raffle to benefit Pop Warner
There will be a turkey raffle at 5 p.m. Nov. 3, at Tinker's to benefit both the Auburn Pop Warner cheerleaders and football players who travel.
There will be raffles, free hot dogs, chili and more.

Bass Pro to offer outdoor workshop
Bass Pro Shops Sportsman's Center will conduct a Black Powder/Muzzleloading Redhead Outdoor Skills Workshop Saturday, Nov. 3, at the Fingerlakes Mall in Aurelius.
Students can learn basics and advanced techniques of black powder and muzzleloading.
CCYO registrations end Oct. 29
The Southern Cayuga Youth Basketball League is accepting registrations through Monday, Oct. 29, for this year's CCYO basketball program.
Registration forms are available in the Southern Cayuga Middle School office and will soon be available on the school's Web site.
The league is open to boys in grades second through eighth and girls in grades third through eighth.
YMCA to host youth lacrosse league
The Auburn YMCA-WEIU is offering a learn-by-playing Youth Super Sports Lacrosse program for ages 3 to 5 and 6 to 7 beginning the week of Oct. 29.
The program focuses on skill development and provides the children with an individualized progressive introduction to the sport.
Practice sessions are active games. Rookies meet Saturday mornings at 10 and 11 a.m. for ages 3 to 5 and 9 to 10 a.m. for ages 6 to 7.
Participants must supply their own lacrosse sticks.
Fees are $20 for YMCA members and $40 for the general public.

Bowling hall of fame dinner Nov. 10
The local men's and women's bowling association will hold its Hall of Fame dinner Nov. 10, at the Sunset Restaurant.

Best Ball Tourney held at Cedar House
Cedar House Lanes will host its inaugural Doubles Best-Ball Tournament on Thanksgiving night with squads at 6, 7:30 and 9 p.m.
Any combination of teams (two men, two women, mixed) may compete in two divisions (401-and-over; 400-and-under).
Cost is $35 per team. For more information, call Cedar House at 685-5117.
